P A R T I T U R A Z E R O is a performative act that investigates the body-voice as a vibrating material, in search of languages free from the weight of meaning. By exploring her own vocal apparatus, Elena Boillat composes and performs a score drawn from the sonic reminiscences that inhabit her, transforming physical endurance and the flow of breath into an extreme vocal emission, in contrast with the slow unfolding and expansion of movements and moments of stillness.

Inspired by the structure of the sonata form and certain rituals, the performance moves between dysphonic singing, resonators, and moments of absolute silent contemplation, revealing a breathing, sonic physicality immersed in stage spaces that are always stripped and bare, where the environment is respected in everything it offers, including the quality of light. In these spaces, the body becomes both unique instrument and subject, establishing an intimate perceptual dialogue with the imagination and acoustic perception of those who witness it, leading the audience on a pre-linguistic journey with shifting boundaries.

" The voice can strike, lightly touch, push away, call or bring closer. And the body is the dark cave guarding its origin and secret. Holding on to their manifesting power, I felt that a made-up communication was possible: one that was independent from meaning, culture and norm, as well as free from any information frenzy. Like a cry in the void or a whisper in the midst of chaos, the message that this type of communication carries is no longer found in information, but rather within resonance itself, returning me to a primary ground where all defenses simply fail. "​
